How using them?

In every ship it is often use 350 traps (aprox.). they are in rows of 75 traps, formin "caceas"

In every “cacea” the traps are fastened by a "mother rope" and there is a distance of 4 or 5 fathoms among them (according to the depth)

The bait used to be: sardines, mackerel, and other fishes.

The bait is put into a plastic net bag. This is placed into every trap. Finally the trap is thrown into the sea with a bottle at the beginnig and at the end of every "cacea".the cacea is left for one or two days in the water.
